As climate change takes a toll on the health and wellness of communities throughout the U.S. and around the world, we can expect to endure more extreme weather events. According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, the global surface temperature in 2016 reached the warmest levels on record. But it’s not just a hotter planet that we have to be concerned about. Extreme weather events such as drought, flooding and storms are also occurring more frequently and with greater force.
